Hamid Rashedi, CEO of Iran Radiation Application Development Company, and Dr. Askari, Managing Director of Medical Procurement Organization, held a joint meeting to discuss the significance of irradiation in medical products and the establishment of an irradiation system.
According to the
Public Relations and International Affairs Unit of the Red Crescent Medical
Procurement Organization, Hamid Rashedi, accompanied by his deputies and
managers, met with Dr. Askari on Tuesday, September 6. The discussion centered
on the importance of irradiation in medical products and the establishment of
an irradiation system.
The meeting
highlighted essential actions for developing and increasing efficiency,
localizing equipment, and focusing on irradiation technologies. It explored the
possibility of cooperation between the Organization in both product
manufacturing and distribution. Other key topics included the role of the
Atomic Energy Organization in advancing necessary technologies without
restricting the private sector's role, willingness to hold consultative meetings
for technical information exchange regarding the establishment of the
irradiation center, and readiness to provide irradiation services for
production equipment.
At the conclusion of
the meeting, it was agreed that a memorandum of understanding would be signed
between the two organizations in the near future to formalize their joint
efforts.
